The Rwanda Allied Health Professions Council (RAHPC) helps promote the health of all Rwandans. It does so by determining standards of professional education and training; and by setting and maintaining the standards of professional and ethical behaviour for the following healthcare professionals:

  1. Anesthesia Practitioners ( Non-physicians).
  2. Chiropractic Practitioners.
  3. Clinical Psychology Practitioners
  4. Clinical Medicine (Clinical Officers) Practitioners
  5. Clinical perfusion Practitioners
  6. Dental therapy and oral health Practitioners.
  7. Emergency care Practitioners
  8. Environmental Health Practitioners
  9. Medical Laboratory Practitioners.
  10. Medical Imaging and Radiation Practitioners
  11. Nutrition and Dietetics Practitioners
  12. Ophthalmic Clinical Officer
  13. Physical Therapy Practitioners
  14. Social work Practitioners
  15. Prosthetics and Orthotics Practitioners
  16. Public Health Officers
  17. Speech Pathology/Therapy Practitioners
  18. Optometry Practitioners
  19. Occupational therapy Practitioners
Complaint lodging

The Council provides the members of the public with the right to file and request an investigation of practitioners, whom they believe have acted unethically or caused harm. All complaints made are taken seriously and RAHPC is committed to ensuring that both practitioners and the public are protected.
